I sell broadband. Do not know if that makes me credible on this or somehow tainted. There are some real broadband holes in this state. No cable, no dsl, wireless- not so hot. It never ceases to amaze me how a business can move to a new location without checking broadband availability. It seems to be always an afterthought. And then there is the shock to discover their best opiton is a t-1 (smaller business). Broadband can get very pricey very quickly. As for job hunting, sadly some of my best friends are un or underemployed. So much of the job search is now done thru the internet. I have a friend with just dail up at home. She needs to go to the library when she wants a faster connection to look for work. Does it hamper her???? Obviously. I will say this first. I sell broadband.
