We need to protect the environment, but the "green jobs" part of it is a political slogan.

They key is creating goods and services that people want while minimizing damage to the environment. Technology is a big part of that, so Wisconsin needs to be really good at it.

When people who want to keep polluting wrongly say we must choose between "jobs" or the environment, politicians can respond with this "green jobs" bit. We would be wise to ignore such a debate. The important thing is creating services/goods that people want, which in the modern economy means creating and employing technology.
