Thank Governor Walker and Your Legislators for Support of Wisconsin Telecom Modernization Act
On May 24, Governor Scott Walker signed into law the Wisconsin Telecom Modernization Act. Earlier this month, both the State Assembly and Senate – in an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote – passed this bill to help move Wisconsin forward. The State Senate passed the bill 25-8 and the State Assembly passed the bill 80-13.
The Wisconsin Telecom Modernization Act will tear down barriers to job creation and attract new investment to our state. By updating the state’s archaic telecommunications law, Wisconsin can not only keep and create new jobs, but also attract private sector investment in broadband that will fuel more job creation in all sectors of our economy.
